Environ Skincare: The Environ range of face and body products, for homecare and professional use, have been developed by Dr Des Fernandes, a respected South African plastic surgeon. His concern about the increasing incidence of skin cancer led him to research the most effective ingredients to protect healthy skin at an early age and to treat the increasing problems associated with photo-damaged skin. Since 1987, Dr Fernandes has stressed the need for daily replacement of a “brigade” of vitamins and anti-oxidants in the skin that are destroyed by exposure to light. He has been one of the pioneers in the use of vitamin A and the anti-oxidant vitamins C, E and beta-carotene - as a means to treat, normalise and protect the skin. Dr Fernandes was the first person in the world to introduce vitamin A in high doses in cosmetic creams. The Environ philosophy is that by protecting our skin from UV rays, pollution, bad diet and stress we can prevent premature ageing and maintain a healthy, beautiful skin for a lifetime. Environ normalises skin, providing skincare to prevent and to treat photo-damage, problem skin, pigmentation and scarring and is suitable for children, men and women.

Environ is also used as an effective pre- and post-operative treatment by plastic surgeons for cosmetic surgery patients: the vitamin ingredients promote normal cell growth, optimising the health of the skin and minimising any scarring following surgery.

The Environ® Solution
Environ base their ranges on skin types combating dry, oily, and combination skin. Environ® skin care starts with the original range which incorporates vitamin A, C and E basing their treatments on a free radical scavenging system of beta-carotene. The range increases in strength of vitamin A the further you progress enabling your skin to acclimatise to the formulation and gain maximum long-term benefits. You may wish to try the Ionzyme® C-quence range designed for skins which need more powerful and more targeted anti-aging strategies to encourage cell renewal, improve cell renewal, improve the visible signs of photo-ageing and maintain a healthy skin. Again this range increases in vitamin A strength as you adapt to the high strengths found in this range.

Revitalising Vitamin C
C-Boost from the intensive range is a clarifying cream that contains a powerful and effective form of vitamin C in a light, non-greasy cream. It is designed to help treat blotchy pigmentation, sun damage, fine lines and superficial blood vessels so that the skin regains optimum health and has a radiant glow.

The Environ® Solution
The B-Active range is designed for problem skin. Each product contains Australian tea-tree oil for its antiseptic properties to help soothe and cleanse skin, and most contain salicylic acid for its mild exfoliant properties. Vitamin A products have been used for decades to treat problematic skins. This super vitamin, along with its ingredients helps unblock pores and makes the environment of the skin hostile for acne bacteria. Problem skin goes hand in hand with the teenage years, thanks to the body’s fluctuating hormone levels as it finds its feet on the way to adulthood. Unfortunately, pimples are no longer the preserve of teens. Men and women of all ages find themselves in their thirties and beyond with spots cohabiting unhappily with lines and wrinkles.

The Environ® Ionzyme® DF Machine
This machine provides a facial treatment that lasts 90 minutes and it is seen to be at the forefront of scientific skincare. The machine is the first to combine the use of active Sonophoresis and intensified Iontophoresis, and is therefore possibly the most advanced machine of its kind. Operated by our aesthetic consultants, specific products are used to make the skin more resilient and radiant and to help treat blemishes such as patchy pigmentation, scarring and pimples. The Ionzyme® DF machine enhances the penetration of these products through the skin, a crucial step because the skin has a natural, waterproof barrier that hinders the penetration of vitamins.
